The method is usually done by a radiologist by inserting a small cord through the liver artery to administer chemicals directly into the tumor and to block the main blood vessel that feeds the tumor. In some cases, when the tumor is smaller and does not spread elsewhere, surgery may be performed to remove it altogether.

2.  FNA (Fine needle aspiration) and Liver Biopsy

FNA and liver biopsy are Performing a biopsy on the liver for diagnose tissue and cells in case of a suspicious lump, which can turn into liver cancer or inflammation.

5.  The Urea Breath Test is used to detect Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori)

At present, it is found to be one of the causes of gastric ulcers and stomach cancer. This is a breath examination without endoscopy (measuring the amount of 13C).

Customer Testimonial

Mr. Utsaha Ton-Ousim

Former Colon Cancer Patient: Mr. Utsaha Ton-Ousim

Mr. Utsaha Ton-Ousim, a colon cancer patient who has trusted Ramkhamhaeng Hospital for over 20 years, shared his journey with the disease.

Initially, he experienced warning signs like narrower stools, irregular bowel movements, and mucus with blood, which he dismissed as hemorrhoid symptoms. He only sought medical attention when he started passing pure blood. Prior to this, he also had kidney stones with recurring pain in that area.

Upon examination, doctors diagnosed colon cancer through questioning and endoscopy, pinpointing the tumor at the site matching his previous symptoms. They surgically removed the mass and some lymph nodes to check for metastasis. Fortunately, lab results showed it was Stage 2 colon cancer, requiring only surgery and oral medication for treatment.
