Pearly Penile Papules (PPP) are small, clear, dome-shaped bumps arranged around the corona (rim) of the glans penis. They are neither painful nor itchy and are commonly found in men who have not been circumcised. PPP is a harmless, naturally occurring condition. It is not considered a disease and is not contagious.
However, patients often experience anxiety because the appearance of PPP can sometimes resemble genital warts or other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). If there is any doubt, it is advisable to consult a doctor for an accurate diagnosis.
Since PPP poses no health risk, treatment is optional. For those who wish to remove them for cosmetic reasons, several treatment options are available, including laser therapy, electrosurgery, and cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen).
Our dermatology specialists are ready to treat skin conditions affecting men’s intimate areas. Examinations are conducted by male physicians in highly private consultation rooms, ensuring that all information and treatments are kept strictly confidential. You can seek advice and treatment with complete confidence.
Do not let embarrassment compromise your well-being. Untreated skin concerns can worsen over time, making treatment more challenging. Early consultation is the best step toward protecting your health. Contact us today to schedule a confidential consultation.
