The nutritional development of young children is a crucial aspect that parents should pay special attention to, especially during the initial stage of introducing foods other than breast milk.
The period from 6 months onward is considered an appropriate time for introducing complementary foods alongside breast milk.
It is recommended to mix half a teaspoon of vegetable oil into daily meals to provide essential fatty acids and sufficient energy.
At this stage, children can start eating soft-cooked rice and foods with a wider range of textures. However, it is important to avoid added seasonings and foods that are hard or pose a choking hazard.
From age two onward, children can eat rice and meals similar to those of adults. However, the flavoring should still be moderated, and foods high in sodium and sugar should be avoided.
