Dr. Pitchaya Somburanasin, M.D., Chairman of Group Executive Committee, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Public Company Limited, stated, "Over the past 37 years, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Group has demonstrated its resilience in navigating various crises, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic. Built on a solid foundation, we have not only effectively cared for patients but also achieved continuous growth through our unwavering commitment to medical excellence. This commitment is evident in our relentless development of treatment capabilities, especially through the establishment of diverse and modern Centers of Excellence. For instance, our Cardiology Center offers exceptional expertise in treating blocked coronary arteries non-surgically, managing arrhythmias, and providing comprehensive cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, thereby ensuring holistic patient care. Additionally, we feature long-established and renowned Centers for Brain and Nervous System and Endoscopic ENT Surgery."

Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Group also leverages advanced technology to elevate medical services, ensuring rapid, accurate, and safe treatment outcomes. Examples include Robotic Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Telemedicine services. Furthermore, we develop applications and online platforms to directly reach patients, enabling us to provide healthcare even outside the hospital setting. We are also expanding our services into preventive care and holistic wellness to address evolving global health trends.

Concurrently, we are expanding our partner network to create synergy through joint ventures with leading hospitals nationwide. These include Viphapram Hospital, Thonburi Hospital, Synphaet Hospital, and Vibhavadi Hospital, all of which adhere to international standards such as Joint Commission International (JCI), AACI, and HA certifications. This robust network strengthens our internal patient referral system, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and precisely targeted care. This collective capability positions Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Group to become a significant Medical Hub in Thailand. Currently, international patients confidently seek treatment with us, particularly at Chiangmai Ram Hospital and Sukhumvit Hospital, reflecting our proven readiness to accommodate a global clientele.

"Our ambition extends beyond merely being a comprehensive medical center; it is to elevate Thailand's public health standards. We are dedicated to fostering well-being through preventive, health-promotional, and rehabilitative medicine, aiming for a healthier and longer-lived Thai population. With a network of 46 leading partner hospitals nationwide, boasting over 7,800 beds, we are confident that this strategic advancement and continuous capability development will be a crucial driving force in propelling Thailand towards becoming a leading regional Medical Hub, attracting patients from around the world. This, in turn, represents another industry that generates revenue and enhances Thailand's global reputation," added Dr. Pitchaya.

Dr. Rukkagee Kanjanapitak, Group Chief Executive Officer, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Group and its affiliated companies, explained, "We remain committed to our founder's vision of prioritizing public welfare, aiming to serve all patient groups across every region of Thailand. This commitment extends to those covered by the 30-baht National Health Security scheme, Social Security, and self-paying patients. Under the guiding vision, "Addressing Every Need, Mastering Every Care," we integrate a business perspective to ensure sustainable growth."

Furthermore, we continue to pursue investments through Brownfield projects, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and Partnerships, with a specific focus on investing in subsidiaries to enhance capabilities and foster sustainable growth. Most recently, we increased our shareholding in Thonburi Hospital Group, bringing Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Group's total network to 46 hospitals nationwide with a combined capacity of 7,800 beds. This strategically positions us as the second-largest private hospital group in Thailand. We anticipate a 40% growth for the entire network this year compared to the previous year.

To accommodate the growth of the healthcare industry and the new generation of service users who increasingly prioritize health, we have devised a strategy under "RAM 2.0, The New Era of Ram Hospital Group." thoughtfully builds upon the founder's beliefs and integrates modern operational approaches, specifically Clinical Excellence: Elevating medical capabilities through cutting-edge technology and leading personnel. Network Synergy: Fostering systematic collaboration within the network. Asset Optimization: Enhancing asset management efficiency. Strategic Expansion: Advancing investments and M&A through subsidiary investments. ESG Commitment: Driving sustainable growth with responsibility towards all stakeholders.

"The continuous development of Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Group is founded on a clear vision to address all healthcare needs through expertise and medical innovation. Our comprehensive nationwide network ensures widespread access to medical services for all users, delivering fast, accurate treatment experiences aligned with modern lifestyles. This initiative is integral to building a robust Healthcare Ecosystem that supports Thailand's national goal of becoming a regional Medical Hub, capable of attracting patients from around the world," Dr. Rukkagee concluded

Thibault Spithakis, Chief Marketing Officer, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Public Company Limited, noted, "Currently, over 95% of Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Group's patients are Thai nationals. Though this rebranding initiative aims to expand our service base, attracting younger generations and international patients who seek holistic healthcare – particularly focusing on Preventive & Wellness care before illness strikes. It also seeks to accommodate the changing demographics of an aging society. Consequently, we are focused on enhancing our services, transitioning from a 'Sick Care' model to a comprehensive 'Health Care' approach. This involves integrating cutting-edge digital health and medical innovation technologies (Digital Health & Innovation) such as AI, Telemedicine, Big Data, and health monitoring devices to improve diagnostic efficiency, optimize treatment, and ensure seamless service delivery."

Over the years, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Group has experienced continuous growth, both in the number of network hospitals nationwide and through strategic partnerships with leading hospitals, including significant regional expansion.

"This rebranding initiative is designed to forge a strong new identity that reflects our core values of Caring, Trusted, Expertise, and Collaborative, underscored by the diversity of our network. This strategy aims to meet the heightened expectations of modern consumers, who demand not only high-quality treatment for complex diseases and advanced medical technology but also an excellent overall service experience. Today's consumers no longer simply seek treatment when ill; instead, they desire comprehensive, holistic healthcare – encompassing prevention, health promotion, and rehabilitation. Our new brand image is thus meticulously designed to communicate that we are ready to be a full-spectrum Regional Medical Institution, poised to care for every dimension of life, rather than merely a hospital focused solely on disease treatment." Mr. Spithakis summarized.

Today’s consumers no longer seek medical attention only when they are unwell. They increasingly value a holistic approach to health—encompassing prevention, wellness promotion, and rehabilitation. Our rebranding initiative has therefore been strategically developed to convey our commitment to becoming a comprehensive regional medical institution—one that provides integrated healthcare across all dimensions of life, rather than functioning solely as a hospital focused on treatment.

Prof. Wasan Udayachalerm, M.D., Interventional Cardiologist, Heart Center, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Over the past five to ten years, the number of patients with heart disease has risen significantly and continues to grow,” said Professor Dr. Wasan Udayachalerm, an interventional cardiologist at the Heart Center, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital. “Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide, including in Thailand. The major risk factors often stem from conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, along with lifestyle habits—lack of exercise, insufficient sleep, and the increasing use of e-cigarettes. In addition, limited public awareness of the disease and its early symptoms means that many cases go undiagnosed and untreated until they become severe.

Today’s health challenges are multifaceted—shaped by chronic illnesses, lifestyle patterns, an aging population, and environmental pollution. Awareness, self-observation, and early screening are crucial keys to effective prevention and treatment. These proactive steps can significantly improve both health outcomes and overall quality of life.

Dr. Suthida Yenjun, M.D. Neurologist, Brain and Neurology Center, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital “The incidence of neurological and brain disorders has been steadily increasing, particularly among the elderly,” said Dr. Suthida Yenjun, neurologist at the Brain and Neurology Center, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital. “As Thailand transitions into an aging society, we are seeing a growing prevalence of cerebrovascular diseases—similar to coronary artery disease—as well as chronic non-communicable conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. When poorly controlled, these can contribute to dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.”

She added, Lifestyle factors are also a major concern. Sleep deprivation is increasingly common across all age groups—among older adults and younger individuals alike, often due to stress and long working hours. Technology overuse, especially the constant exposure to short-form video content on social media platforms like TikTok, has been linked to reduced attention spans and diminished cognitive endurance. Additional factors such as alcohol consumption, substance use, and social pressures further exacerbate these risks.

Dr. Lalintip ardchouy, M.D. Otolaryngologist, Endoscopic Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery Center, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital “Ear, nose, and throat disorders are far more common than most people realize, and the number of patients continues to rise,” said Dr. Lalintip ardchouy, otolaryngologist at the Endoscopic ENT Surgery Center, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital. “These organs are constantly in use, making them highly susceptible to irritation and disease. In recent years, air pollution—particularly PM2.5 dust—has had a direct impact on the respiratory system, leading to allergies and recurrent flare-ups. At the same time, the frequent use of earphones and continuous exposure to online media content can damage auditory nerve cells, resulting in premature hearing loss. As Thailand moves toward an aging society, we are also seeing more degenerative conditions, including chronic sinusitis triggered by allergies or influenza.”

She emphasized that early intervention is crucial. “Timely treatment of ENT-related conditions can prevent complications and improve recovery outcomes. Today, new medical technologies such as balloon sinus dilation allow for faster recovery with minimal discomfort. However, if treatment is delayed, patients may require more invasive surgery and longer rehabilitation. Proper breathing techniques are also essential, as many people today experience breathing difficulties related to poor habits or lifestyle factors.”

Ramkhamhaeng Hospital’s Endoscopic Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery Center is among the first specialized centers of its kind in Thailand, with more than a decade of expertise in minimally invasive ENT surgery. The center is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of surgical safety, supported by a team of specialists experienced in both routine and complex procedures performed through the body’s natural pathways. It is also equipped with advanced technologies, such as the PTR (Parathyroid Tracking System)—a real-time monitoring tool used during surgery to track parathyroid function and reduce the risk of postoperative hypocalcemia.

Dr. Ki Ruikchuchit, M.D. Medical Oncologist, Integrative Health Center, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital “The incidence of cancer is rising, as many patients are still diagnosed at an advanced stage,” said Dr. Ki Ruikchuchit, medical oncologist at the Integrative Health Center, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital. “When cancer progresses too far, the body’s overall condition deteriorates — organ function declines, breathing becomes difficult, and treatment options become more limited. Patients may require surgery, chemotherapy, or immunotherapy. Unfortunately, proactive screening remains inadequate, which means many cases are detected too late. Prevention and early medical consultation at the first sign of illness are therefore essential.”

She emphasized the importance of regular health screenings. “The frequency of screening should be determined by each individual’s risk factors and initial test results,” Dr. Ki explained. “For example, if abnormalities are found, follow-up screenings may be recommended every six months, or sooner if necessary.”

Cancer treatment today increasingly focuses on personalized medicine — tailoring treatment plans to each patient’s physical condition, disease stage, and tolerance to therapy. This approach is combined with integrative health care that goes beyond traditional ‘sick care,’ aiming instead to support overall well-being and long-term vitality.

Ramkhamhaeng Hospital is committed to advancing healthcare standards through the expertise of its multidisciplinary medical team, cutting-edge technologies, and a holistic approach to patient care. The goal, Dr. Ki concluded, is to ensure that every patient and family achieves the best possible quality of life.
