On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital organized an event to celebrate the 5th anniversary of its Kidney Transplant Department, receiving a warm response from patients, their families, and attendees.
The morning session began with a Buddhist chanting ceremony and a Thaksinanupathan (merit-making) ceremony dedicated to deceased organ donors, honoring their memory and expressing heartfelt gratitude to those who gave the gift of a new life to kidney patients.
The afternoon session continued with the seminar "Understanding Kidney Disease: Treatment Planning and Kidney Transplant Options," featuring valuable insights from a team of physicians and multidisciplinary specialists as follows:
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Opening ceremony of the "5th Anniversary of Kidney Transplant Department" accompanied by a talk show on "Kidney Disease Care and Prevention" by THANOMSAK ASAWADILOCKCHAI, M.D., Nephrology Specialist.
1:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Talk show on "Preparation Before Kidney Transplantation and Renal Replacement Therapy Guidelines (Dialysis: PD + HD)" by ASST. PROF. TANUN NGAMVICHCHUKORN, M.D., THANIN SIRIMONGKOLRAT, M.D., and SIROTE KHUNAPORNPHAIROTE, M.D., Nephrology Specialists.
2:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Panel discussion on "Quality of Life After Kidney Transplantation" by THANIN SIRIMONGKOLRAT, M.D., SIROTE KHUNAPORNPHAIROTE, M.D., and ASST. PROF. TANUN NGAMVICHCHUKORN, M.D., featuring inspiring conversations with kidney transplant recipients—Mr. SOMPIS, MR. RONNACHAI and MS. SUPAPORN—who shared their personal journeys to spread encouragement and hope.
3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Talk show on "Preparation and Care for Kidney Transplant Surgery Patients" by

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Talk show on "Post-Kidney Transplantation Care and Self-Management" by ASST. PROF. TANUN NGAMVICHCHUKORN, M.D., Nephrology Specialist.
