Cardiac Arrhythmia Center Services

1. Cardiac Electrical Diagnosis

     Cardiac electrical diagnosis checks the heart's signals and electrical path. It helps doctors find the cause and site of an abnormal rhythm. The results appear on 2D graphs, which makes treatment choices easier. If the doctor considers an EP study and radiofrequency ablation, treatment can start soon after the test.

 

2. EP Study and Radiofrequency Ablation

     An electrophysiology study, or EP study, and radiofrequency ablation treat abnormal heartbeats with high-frequency radio waves. A catheter is passed through the blood vessels and into the heart chambers. At the end of the catheter is an electrode that sends radio energy to the problem area and destroys the abnormal conduction.

 

3. Radiofrequency Ablation with the CARTO System

     Radiofrequency ablation for arrhythmia uses the CARTO system to guide care. It helps doctors find the source of the problem and see ECG issues in real time with 3D images.

6. Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT)

     Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) is similar to pacemaker or ICD implantation. A CRT device is placed under the skin to treat chronic heart failure when drug treatment has not worked. The device helps the heart muscle work in better sync.
