Uterine fibroid is a mass formed by the abnormal growth of uterine muscle tissue. It is commonly found in women of reproductive age. Most are non-cancerous (benign) masses, and most often do not cause symptoms, but symptoms may sometimes be present.
If you experience abnormal symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding or frequent lower abdominal pain, you should consult a doctor.
