On Thursday 22nd July 2021, Mr. Somporn Piyapan, Acting President of Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK). To sign a contract in the signing ceremony for the right to lease the vacant land to build hospitals and hotels including academic cooperation, between Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep with RVD-Consortium by Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Public Company Limited, Vibharam Hospital Company Limited, and Design Continental Company Limited at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep.
By in signing this cooperation. The objective is to cooperate in the development of teaching and learning and academic integration with 8 faculties of the university such as Faculty of Engineering related to repair of medical devices and electrical systems, Faculty of Home Economics Technology related to food and nutrition, Faculty of Arts related to Hospitality, Tourism, Languages, and Faculty of Textile Industry in the production of clothing and home textiles, etc. Including research and academic services that will be shared in the next future.
In this regard, the representatives for signing the cooperation consisted of Dr. Chamnan Chanapai, DDS., and Dr. Pitchaya Somburanasin, M.D. from Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Public Company Limited. Dr. Sawat Takerngdej, M.D. from Vibharam Hospital Company Limited, and Mr. Pop Petsuwan from Design Continental Company Limited.
Mr. Somporn Piyapan, Acting President of Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK) mentioned about the signing of this cooperation that “We are very pleased that The university will have the opportunity to develop in teaching and learning. Opening new courses from the construction of Ramkhamhaeng Hospital and the Mangala Hotel Bangkok in the future, and to meet the needs of the community, staff, and students of the University. Including teaching and learning that develops courses in medical techniques, nursing, textiles, food and nutrition, etc., which the university has the potential and personnel at the national and international level.
Dr. Pitchaya Somburanasin, M.D. said, “Hospital Business not only takes care of medical treatment or medicine but must pay attention to the feelings of the patients and their relatives, the warmth that received from good service is very important together. Today, Thailand is a Medical Hub that supports both domestic and international service users. which is in cooperation with the university this time. Both hospital and hotel jobs require service personnel, language, nutritionist, and supervising. The infrastructure of water systems, electrical systems, gas systems, and medical equipment requires constant maintenance. There is a Faculty of Engineering where students can learn the work system and do internships. Including being an important manpower for hospitals and hotels after graduation. Including research work and academic services together in the future”.
Mr. Pop Petchsuwan, a representative from Design Continental Co., Ltd., said, “Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep is ready to teach in service, language, food and nutrition, textile, and others that correspond to the hotel business. That will be able to give students practical training and experience. Including the opportunity to work with the hotel after graduation as well.
