Danger Signs in Back Pain

  • Persistent pain: Back pain continues and worsens for more than 4 weeks.
  • Severe injury: Pain resulting from a major accident (e.g., traffic accident, fall from a height).
  • Neurological symptoms: Back pain accompanied by radiating pain down the leg, numbness, or weakness in the leg.
  • Loss of bowel/bladder control: Inability to control defecation or urination.
